Fab Real, character pub with great food. Best fish and chips we've ever had. Friendly staff, great service beautiful views with huge terrace sitting right on the oceans edge at ventnor. I've tried a lot of so called great places on this island and always end up coming back here!

I've always loved the spyglass- delicious food, generous portions, decent prices and lovely staff as well as a lovely view out to sea and plenty of interesting bits and bobs lining the walls of the very traditional and atmospheric inn. Can't comment on the accommodation since I've never stayed, but the rest of it always has my vote as a must visit whenever I'm in the area.
The Spyglass is such a lovely place...wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the sea and the sun...even though I live in this Island...it always makes me feel like I'm on holiday when I'm at the Spyglass Inn....
Great place to eat right on the ocean's edge, friendly helpful staff, locally caught see food, plenty of seating inside and out ( weather permitting ) dogs allowed, entertainment most nights I believe
