We stayed on a touring pitch 24/8--3/9 pitch was very spacious and all the site was very well kept and lovely shower and toilet facilities Lovely heated pool super friendly staff and great bar I was a little disappointed in the way the lovely couple who came all the way from Switzerland was in a vintage tractor and superb hand made trailer were treated .They were not made welcome by yourselves Although they were so very friendly and caused so much interest Appuldurcombe Gardens was the only site on there 6 months travels who didn't make them welcome!
Lovely place, visited in June and August, was lovely and quiet in June but obviously more noisy in August through kids holidays, but would still go again. Nice pool for a morning swim. Lovely area.
Excellent short stay at this lovely campsite. Great food (the pizzas were amazing!) and entertainment every night. We weren't planning to, but we ended up eating and staying here every evening rather than going out. Toilet and shower block was modern and kept spotlessly clean. All staff friendly and welcoming. Situated in a beautiful location and handy as a base for exploring the island by bike on the Red Squirrel Trail (It's right on the trail and an easy 20 minute off road but flat cycle to Shanklin) and other cycling routes. Great for children with lovely heated outdoor pool and games. Would definitely recommend to all.
Had a lovely week off here it's so secluded and has a very relaxed atmosphere. The kids loved it especially the swimming pool. The staff here are really helpful and so relaxed. Nothing is any bother here and the food they cook in the cafe is really nice and offer a wide range of foods for adults and kids. Will definitely return here again its beautiful.
We have stayed here for quite a few years and that in itself is a recommendation. We have always tried to stay on lovely site and this one stands with the best . The site and amenities are spotless the swimming pool is heated and so fab after a day out or for a day in. It is centrally located and plenty to do and see. The owners are lovely helpful. Our main holiday site we wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you Appuldurcombe.
